Firmstep provide a “Customer Experience Platform” which is used by 30% of all UK councils, allowing citizens of each council to complete tasks online. They also offer councils CMS (Drupal) website maintenance & development.
The Brief
Firmstep were in need of a new site for interacting with their customers. Their old site was slow, difficult-to-use, and generally no longer fit for purpose for Firmstep as they continued with their rapid expansion as a company.
The Result
In addition to a revamped, responsive design to help their customers to get the most out of the site, some key technical requirements for the project included:
- Freshdesk integration - they wanted to periodically import their Freshdesk support tickets into Drupal
- A custom forum with the ability to subscribe to certain threads and be notified of updates
- Content migration from a number of different sources, including Drupal 7 and 8
- The creation of a REST API with Swagger documentation to allow a third party system to manage users and their privileges
